Donna Cohen Lane studied at the Arts Student League in Manhattan, the Rhode Island School of Design, and the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University where she graduated with a BFA.
After early-career exhibitions of abstract expressionism in a range of drawn, brushed, etched, and carved materials, Donna continued to paint while she raised a family and enjoyed a 30 year ahead-of-the-state-of-the-art professional life as a Digital Media Entertainment Designer, Innovator, Producer, Studio Executive, and Consultant, delivering many firsts to the entertainment industry.
Expanding her reach as an artist Donna recently completed a year long project of illustrating the book "A TINY TALE". The 62 full page color images are an example of her depth and facility as an artist, each image exudes love and intense emotion. The dynamic, diverse, and colorful images amplify the text in a wonderful and intensely expressive way.
On the teaching side, Donna notably created and ran the Computer Graphics Program at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and was one of the founders of the student art competition for Siggraph's Art Show.
Donna's Paintings have been in public exhibitions, galleries and are in several private collections. Donna is available for commission work and her illustrations are for sale in limited signed editions.
Donna paints in her studio on the Hood Canal with her husband, five dogs and a lot of very tall trees.
